HID RFID Keg Tag transponders improve inventory tracking and lifecycle management of cylindrical returnable shipping items (RTI) such as beverage kegs, chemical drums and gas cylinders.

Embeddable RFID Tags featuring HID Global's Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology can help improve operational efficiency while ensuring safe container transport and return. With its anti-collision technology, metal RFID tags accelerate processing, allowing readers to communicate with multiple tags in a single pass, at the same time, the information stored in each RFID tag allows for more accurate and efficient asset management.

Rugged RFID tags are built to withstand rigorous washing and sterilization processes, including the use of caustic soda. The UHF RFID tags have durable plastic housings each UHF HID barrel transponder are slightly curved, for an optimal fit on round surfaces, the dual-injected housings protect enclosed electronics from exposure to aggressive liquids and chemicals as well as fluctuations in temperature.
